Prometheus Cave in Kutaisi and More: Explore Natural Wonders

Explore the Prometheus Cave in Kutaisi. It is a natural wonder located in the Imereti region of Georgia. With a length of over 11 kilometers and a depth of over 40 meters. The cave is home to a variety of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as an underground river. Visitors can take a boat ride on the river and explore the cave's many chambers.

Day 1: Exploring Prometheus Cave in KutaisiĀ 

Arrival in Tbilisi Airport and transfer to the Tbilisi hotel

Upon arrival at the airport, you'll be greeted by a High Travels representative holding a sign with your name, who will then escort you on a 25-minute transfer to Tbilisi.

Day 2: Driving to Western Georgia

Kutaisi, the oldest cultural and historical city in Georgia, was once a royal seat during the era of kings. Mentioned in historical texts as an ancient civilization, Kutaisi offers numerous attractions such as the Kutaisi Park, Opera Hall, Bagrati Cathedral, and Gelati Monastery, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. 

Dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries, Gelati Monastery is a testament to Georgia's rich history. Other landmarks include the Motsameta Monastery, the Garden of Love, the Rioni River, the White Bridge, and the cable car. Visitors will spend the night in the charming city of Kutaisi.

Day 3: Canyons Near Kutaisi

Okatse Canyon & Martvili Canyon

Nestled in a deep and narrow ravine, Okatse Canyon spans more than 2 kilometers and is considered a masterpiece of nature. The canyon boasts several waterfalls, each cascading over the limestone cliffs into deep pools below. Visitors can marvel at the stunning scenery and enjoy a picnic in the beautiful surroundings.

The natural monument of Martvili Canyon is a river valley located in the Anklikan region. Formed by the Abbati limestone rocks, the canyon features two natural limestone bridges, indicating the collapse of a karst cave in the past. Visitors can witness a series of small waterfalls in the middle of the canyon, each ranging from 12 to 15 meters in height. The canyon boasts a diverse flora, including unique representatives of the Colchic forest, thriving on the limestone rocks.

Following your scheduled flight, there will be a transfer to Tbilisi Airport.
